Blast Chillers will chill product from160 °F to 39 °F or below in less than 90 minutes. They will freeze product from 160 °F to 0 °F or below in less than 240 minutes. Blast Chillers feature an easy-to-use, electronic control panel. Chillers are fully programmable. Electrolux blast chillers feature time or (automatic) core temperature controlled operation. They also have a unique feature called “cruise control” (PATENT PENDING). This means that the chiller has a self-adjusting probe for chilling. There are three modes: Soft Chill, Hard Chill and Blast Freeze. Electrolux Blast Chillers have auto hold which means that the temperature reached at the end of the blast chilling or freezing cycle is maintained. Chillers also have a turbo cooling: non-stop mode (working temperature: from 39 to -32 °F). They can be ordered either with up to three core temperature probes or with one 3-sensor probe. Other features included are: automatic intelligent and manual defrost modes. Models feature a large LED display for temperature and time/core temperature read out. Electrolux Blast Chillers also have safety features such as audible alarms and visual indicators for food safety (HACCP) issues and separate audible and visual for unit malfunctions.
